Your Generosity Creates a Ripple Effect

Help Us Continue Changing Lives Before December 31

As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect with deep gratitude on the incredible impact your support has made. Thanks to donors like you, the Eskaton Foundation continues to enrich the lives of older adults, empower our dedicated staff, and foster meaningful connections across generations. And yet, the need remains urgent.

From Sheri Peifer

President & Chief Executive Officer

Sheri shares a powerful vision for what’s possible with greater support:
“If money wasn’t an object, what would you do with the organization?”
It’s a question I reflect on often. And the truth is, I have a plan…

A sunny backyard garden with raised brick flower beds bursts with color, while a purple watering can hints at care and growth—a perfect scene to inspire your Year End Appeal for nurturing brighter tomorrows.

At Eskaton, we believe housing is healthcare. We’re committed to expanding affordable housing and transforming our campuses into vibrant community hubs. Your gift today helps bring this vision to life, ensuring older adults across Northern California age with dignity, connection, and purpose.

This vision is not just about buildings and programs; it’s about people. It’s about honoring the individuals who make our communities vibrant and compassionate. One such person was
Debbie Duval, beloved Office Manager at Eskaton Lincoln Manor.

In June, we mourned Debbie’s unexpected passing. To celebrate her legacy, the Eskaton Lincoln Manor rose garden, a space she had lovingly cared for, was refreshed with ten new rose bushes and a memorial sign. Her legacy now blooms in every petal, continuing to inspire connection and compassion.

This tribute is just one example of how your generosity helps us honor the lives of both residents and staff.

Here are more ways your support has made a difference:

  • Resident Assistance
Since 2008, the Eskaton Foundation has provided over $1.9 million in support to help older adults remain safely in their homes. We estimate that approximately 180 residents have benefited from this program. These numbers reflect more than just financial aid. They represent lives stabilized, homes preserved, and peace of mind restored.

  • Affordable Housing Resident Support
Eskaton’s 13 affordable housing communities are home to hundreds of older adults living independently on limited incomes. Through donor support, we’re able to enhance their quality of life in meaningful ways. The Resident Care Program provides supplemental, non-medical emergency care hours to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility during times of need. These efforts provide stability, dignity, and joy, ensuring residents feel cared for and connected.
  • Employee Scholarships
Since 2024 we have awarded 26 scholarships totaling over $74,000 to support the educational and professional growth of our dedicated team members and their families. These scholarships reflect our commitment to investing in those who care for our residents every day, empowering them to pursue their dreams and continue making a meaningful impact.

  • Music Programs
Thanks to your support, residents across Eskaton communities are experiencing the joy and therapeutic benefits of music. Programs like Drum Fit and Music to Grow On Therapy are helping older adults stay active, express themselves, and connect with others through rhythm, movement, and melody. These programs are not only fun, they’re also deeply enriching and promote emotional and physical well-being.

Your gift today will help us continue these vital programs and launch new initiatives that support older adults, empower staff, and build community.

Will you consider making a donation before December 31? Every dollar makes a difference. Together, we can build a future where all older adults thrive.
Thank you for believing in our mission.
