Meet Joel Siegel

Director of Culinary Experience

Joel Siegel brings his passion for connection through food to his role as Director of Culinary Experience at Eskaton Village Carmichael. His culinary journey began during his military service, when he started researching and preparing authentic dishes from his colleagues’ home countries—an experience that revealed food’s power to bridge cultures and build community.

A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Joel honed his expertise in classical French technique and wine theory before serving as Regional Operations Executive Chef with EDHG Hospitality Group, where he successfully launched and operated 12 restaurants. Today, he channels this diverse experience into creating refined, resident-focused dining that honors both classic traditions and the multicultural influences that first inspired his career.

A Note from the Chef

“By embracing regenerative farming and cultivating local partnerships, I aim to craft meals that embody both sustainability and longevity, enhancing the well-being of today’s residents while safeguarding resources for generations to come.” -Chef Joel Siegel, Director of Culinary Experience
